About 1,100 volunteers will participate in the United Way of Escambia County’s Day of Caring on Friday.
The participants will complete more than 100 projects at non-profit agencies and schools. The projects include lawn maintenance, painting and cooking meals.
A Day of Caring breakfast is planned for 7:30 a.m. at Seville Quarter. WEAR Channel 3 news anchor Sue Straughn will host the breakfast.
Most of the projects are expected to begin about 9 a.m.
