Northwest Florida Gator Club sets preseason event at Seville Quarter

The Northwest Florida Gator Club will host its annual preseason event Aug. 22 at Phineas Phogg’s inside Seville Quarter.
The free event for area supporters of the Florida Gators will feature Pat Dooley, a sports columnist for The Gainesville Sun, addressing preseason practice and assessing the season. The gathering will include Pensacola resident Eric Nickelsen, president of the board of directors for Gator Boosters Inc., the first person from Northwest Florida to be appointed to the national position.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour, followed by the program at 6:15. There will be light food, a silent auction for Florida Gators gifts and travel packages, along with posters and schedules.
